Ciri-ciri kusta yaitu timbulnya bercak putih atau kemerahan, tanpa adanya rasa gatal maupun rasa sakit, namun terasa bebal, kurang rasa, bahkan hilang rasa. Jika mengalami gejala yang menyerupai kusta, segera lakukan pemeriksaan ke fasilitas kesehatan, sehingga segera dilakukan pemeriksaan dan dilakukan pengobatan. Dengan pengobatan yang teratur dapat menyembuhkan seseorang dari kusta. Kusta bukan guna guna dan bukan penyakit turunan. Kusta tidak menular melalui makanan dan tidak tertular karena hanya bersalaman.
